What’s good for the goose

is good for the gander

The chips will fall where they fall,

let the boys cry.

Let the fathers retract

the lies.

The truth is the truth,

won’t live a lie.

Roles reversed, no.

This day and age, so advanced,

yet you still ask why.

Why does he look with his wandering eyes,

as if she were blind.

Broke the glass ceiling, Miss CEO.

Yet she waits for the knee, the ring,

the perfect beau.

We call this progress but before we’re trained to earn more and more,

let’s understand they've never stopped waging war.

Against our body.

Against our mind.

Against our will.

Being a woman - a constant walk uphill.
