the old has shed

new skin glows

reflecting

highs

the

lows

once found comfort

hidden under a rock

unseen

unheard

an anchor so keen

to weigh down

fear

weakness

shame

deep within

always a spark

although barely a flame

inch by inch

fire

igniting

defying

the

rain

delicate as a butterfly

stings like a bee

dark

deep

deceiving

she swims in the sea

where she once drowned

she found new meaning

the sky became the sea

the sea became the sky

a lost little girl

many years gone

riddance

goodbye
