the old has shed

new skin glows

reflecting

highs

the

lows

 

once found comfort

hidden under a rock

 

unseen

unheard

an anchor so keen

to weigh down

 

fear

weakness

shame

 

deep within

always a spark

although barely a flame

 

inch by inch

fire

igniting

defying

the

rain

 

delicate as a butterfly

stings like a bee

 

dark

deep

deceiving

she swims in the sea

 

where she once drowned

she found new meaning

 

the sky became the sea

the sea became the sky

 

a lost little girl

many years gone

riddance

goodbye
