I don’t know about forevers

I know even less about soulmates

What I know is that relationships are work

and with the right person

it becomes a labor of love

What I know is this: if you light the fire like no other

you’ll have me like no other has

I don’t know about fidelity

I know even less about forbidding a wandering eye

What I know is that the world offers an array of beauty and magic: temptation is part of the design

What I know is this: home is a borderless space

where we’re free to speak of our fears

our passions

our thoughts

I don’t know about vows

I know even less about defining another

What I know is that today, we fit seamlessly

Yesterday was a threatening wind

today, a slight breeze guiding the way

I don’t know about promises

What I know is this: tomorrow is hope

Tomorrow is just another wish away
