god has yet to like one of his paintings, and so we must all die

Is god just an artist,

and we his canvas?

He creates us in his own image,

ultimately, hating what he sees.

So he paints animals, flowers, and rainbows

to mask his reflection.

And for a while, his work pleases him.

But when his darkness shadows the light,

murder, jealousy, and lies,

his own image destroys life.

He steps back and looks at the chaos he created,

the insecure artist destroys his art

with fires, floods and plagues.

God destroys his reflection with rage.

And just like that, he starts a new page.
